Dr. Annalisa Jenkins, MBBS, MRCP, PlaqueTec Ltd.

Dr. Annalisa Jenkins, MBBS, MRCP, currently CEO at PlaqueTec Ltd, is a thought-leader in biopharma. Highly-regarded as an influential senior executive in R&D, she has pioneered change across the industry, serving as an accelerator of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and learning. In addition, she is an advocate for diversity and inclusion, particularly for women in science. Dr. Jenkins previously served as executive vice president, head of Global Research and Development for Merck Serono. She also led Global Medical Affairs and Quality and was a member of the Pharmaceutical Executive Committee. She joined the company in 2011 as head of Global Development and Medical. Previously, she was senior vice president of Global Medical Affairs at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS). She started with BMS in 1997 in the UK. Dr. Jenkins began her career as a medical officer with the British Royal Navy, and served with the Minesweeper Squadron during the Gulf conflict, rising to the rank of Surgeon Lieutenant Commander. She graduated in medicine from St. Bartholomew's Hospital London and trained in cardiovascular medicine in the UK National Health Service.
